Chalet des 4 Lacs is a delightful ’Swiss-style’ chalet in the stunning Region des Lacs of the French Jura. The chalet is set in its own grounds on the edge of the peaceful and picturesque village of Le Frasnois. Le Frasnois is in the centre of the Region des Lacs with four beautiful lakes at the base of steep forested reculées bordering the village.

The Jura is a relatively unknown area of France, located just to the north of the Alps. It has a magnificent and unspoiled natural beauty with mountains, forests, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. The area offers an ideal location for holidays all year round, with many opportunities for outdoor activities from cross-country and downhill skiing in winter to water sports, walking and cycling in Summer. The Jura is also a notable wine producing area with many fine wines coming from the vineyards around the town of Arbois.

The climate is similar to the Alps with hot dry Summers, cold Winters with heavy snowfall and traditionally warm and sunny Spring and Autumn.

The Chalet

The chalet is furnished to a high standard and fully equipped. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, a large lounge with open fire, a superbly equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and separate wc. A terrace overlooking fields bordered by forest provides a beautiful environment for relaxing in the sun or dining outside. The ground floor consists of a twin bedroom and lounge, with separate kitchen, bathroom with bath and wc. . A separate laundry room is available on the ground floor with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
